Position Description

The Area Manager’s primary objective is to ensure the financial success of their reporting ImmediaDent Practices including process improvements and operational initiatives with full profit and loss responsibility for the assigned Area. This position is a part of the ImmediaDent management team with direct responsibility for two to five practices, with the support of the Lead Patient Coordinators in each practice. The Area Manager possess business and financial acumen and clinical operation, people motivation, coaching, training and public relations skills, combined with leadership in patient care and practice growth.
Essential Functions
  • Ensuring financial success of all ImmediaDent practices in the Area (generally a single metropolitan area, including 2 -5 practices)
  • Manage labor costs while ensuring sufficient patient counts to achieve financial goals
  • Ensure staff and doctors are performing at a level to maximize treatment plan acceptance and profitability

  • Direct supervision of Lead Patient Coordinators in the Area. The Area Manager will split their time in each practice on a continuously rotating basis
  • Ability and willingness to perform all non-clinical tasks within the practice, acting as a model of the ImmediaDent Way
  • Collaborate with Regional Director and the Marketing Department to increase patient flow within the practices
  • Expert in company protocol; ensuring appropriate operations for quality patient care and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, HIPAA, payors and other regulatory bodies in coordination with the Operations and Support Team

Hiring, Training and Employee Development:
  • Ensure practice success by actively recruiting, training and maintain quality staff
  • Continuously assess and effectively manage, coach and mentor staff
  • Assess doctor and staff training needs and work with Regional Director to ensure needs are met
  • Provide training and serve as an example for reporting staff to follow on a daily basis
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree of equivalent experience
  • At least three years' management experience in a retail environment; preferably over multiple locations and/or in a large group of corporate dental setting
  • Must be a business leader focused on the financial success of the business
  • Proven ability to lead a team of 40+ employees, preferably in multiple locations
  • Profit and Loss responsibility experience required
  • Strong operational skill set combined with analytical acumen and decision making capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel continuously within the Area with a flexible work schedule that includes evenings and weekends as necessary
